Houlton games cancelled

The boys and girls varsity basketball games against Houlton have been cancelled due to the weather.  They have been rescheduled for Saturday, December 28 with the girls playing at 1:00 and the boys playing at 2:30.  Happy Holidays to everyone!!

Boys Class C State Soccer Championship Game

Congratulations to our Boys soccer team for being the Eastern Maine Soccer Champions for Class C.
The State Championship game will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Hampden Academy at 12:30. Hope to see you all there!!  GO OWLS!!!

Eastern Maine Boys Soccer Championship Game

The Eastern Maine Boys Class C Championship Soccer game will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 2:00 pm  at the multi-purpose field here in Madawaska.  Come and support our boys as they play a tough match against Fort Kent.

Middle/High School Dismissal

The Middle/HIgh School will be dismissed at 1:50 on Tuesday and Wednesday so as to be able to go to the quarter final soccer games.  Students who do not want to go to the game can stay in their classroom and will be supervised.  Bus runs will be the same as usual.

Varsity Boys Soccer play off game vs. Houlton will be on Wed. Oct. 30 at 2:00 pm on the 11th ave. field.  Please come support our Boys!!!  There is a door charge for the boys and girls games, $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for students.

Rescheduled game

The middle school games against Presque Isle (blue) have been rescheduled for Monday, Sept. 16 at 4:00 pm in Presque Isle.

MS games Cancelled

The middle school games against P.I. (blue) today have been cancelled.  Will try to reschedule for next week. Stay tuned!!!!!

JV Girls vs. Caribou time change

The game scheduled on Sept. 18 for JV girls against Caribou has been changed to 4 instead of 5:00 pm.  There is an open house at the high school going on that night.

There will be NO JV boys soccer team this season due to lack of participation.
All of those games have been cancelled.  The girls jv team will still go forward with

The middle school games scheduled for Sept. 3 against Presque Isle have been moved to Sept. 5

The JV boys and girls games against Presque Isle scheduled for Monday the 19th have been postponed to a later date.  Please encourage kids to come and join our soccer program so we can keep our programs running!!!

The middle school game vs Wisdom has been rescheduled to August 19 at 4:00 pm.

Scrimmages vs. Washburn tomorrow still on.

We'll monitor the rain and make a decision about the game by noon on Wednesday.

Middle School Girls/Boys Practice Information

Middle school girls and boys soccer teams will start practicing tomorrow, August 1st. 

The boys will meet at 9:00am at the 11th Avenue lower soccer field.
The girls will meet at 10:00am at the Elementary School soccer field.

Varsity/JV Soccer Begins This Week!!!!

Girls Pre-Season begins on Monday July 29 from 7:00 to 9:00 am.  This first session will  take place at the Elementary field.  

There will also be fitness training through the week with Mark Rossignol for boys and girls high school soccer.  The program runs from 6:00 to 7:30 pm starting Monday evening, the 29th @ the multi purpose field.

Tennis and Baseball/Softball Cancelations for Saturday, May 11

Due to the inclement weather forecasts for tomorrow, Saturday, May 11, the Tennis Singles Tourney in Caribou has been postponed to Tuesday, May 14 @ 10:00.  The students will be missing school in order to attend this tourney.

Our double header baseball/softball games vs. Houlton have also been postponed to May 21.  This event will still be home on that date and the double headers will begin at 2:30.

Owls Boys Win First Game of Season!

The owl boys took the road yesterday afternoon to face the Central Aroostook Panthers in their first game of the 2013 regular season.  Scoring runs was not an issue for the Owls as they finished the game with a final score of 17-9 over the Panthers.

Thursday, April 25: Varsity Bball/Sball vs. Central Aroostook Away. Bus departs at 1:45. 

Friday, April 26: MS bball/sball vs. Limestone (Away).  Bus departs @ 2:00 from MMHS.

Saturday, April 27: Varsity Tennis vs. Calais Home (Double Header).  Matches start at 12:00.

Madawaska Sports Today, February 14, 2013

The following Madawaska Team has a meet today:

1. Madawaska Middle School Nordic Ski.  This race is being held at the Four Seasons Trails in Madawaska @ 4:00.  

We will be hosting Caribou and Fort Fairfield for this race.  This is a 3K Freestyle Race with a dual start.  Each pair of racers will go out 30 seconds apart.  The boys race will be first and the girls race will follow.    Come out and cheer on our young racers in this last home race of the season!  Good luck to all racers today!

1. Varsity nordic ski.  This bus is going to Caribou for a 3:00 Championship race.  They will leave Madawaska at 1:00. 

2. Middle School nordic ski.  This bus is going to Presque Isle for a 4:00 race.  They will leave MES at 1:30 and MMHS at 1:45.

Pictured above is Madawaska High School's only Alpine (downhill) skier for the 2012-2013 school year, freshman Julia Richards.  Julia recently placed in the top ten (6th and 3rd) at a slalom race in Fort Kent.  Great job Julia!
